About O.M.E.G.A.:

O.M.E.G.A. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organized exclusively for the purposes of public safety in order to support emergency response organizations for training and at times of real crisis. The assets, equipment, personnel and resources of O.M.E.G.A. are dedicated to public service and education purposes.

Our primary objective is to support our served agencies with training and disaster preparedness. The State of Colorado has one of the most diverse terrains in the nation, ranging from a low elevation of 3,350 feet to mountain peaks exceeding 14,000 feet. Excessive snowfall, landslides, torrential rains, flash floods, tornadoes and wildfires are all an annual occurrence in the state. We work with our served agencies to maintain the training levels of volunteer responders in the North Central Region's CitizenCorps program.

In the event of a real disaster our members are available for activation at state or county level, capable of supporting search and rescue, communications, evacuation, sheltering, medical operations and many other phases of disaster management.

O.M.E.G.A. is a non-profit volunteer organization with a mission to assist local, state and federal agencies with disaster preparedness and disaster response.

Interested in joining our team? Please review our frequently asked membership questions before requesting to join.

Disclaimer:
Disaster response is inherently hazardous and participation may result in exposure to the risk of injury, loss of personal property and loss of life (including your own). Training for safe response to emergencies is our greatest priority. In the event of a disaster we advise untrained citizens to seek safety and allow trained professionals to manage the incident.
